Reasearch On Supplier Evaluation System

This research designed a supplier assessment system for Lenovo, and analyzed which with Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process. Main goal for the design is to provide effective suggestions for the entire IT industry. Content of this research mainly focuses on the following three aspects:(1) Through researches on current theories related to supplier assessment system, deficiencies of current index systems are found. Meanwhile through comparing different assessment methodologies, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process’ practicability in processing vendor assessment can be concluded.(2) Combining characteristics of IT industry and the background analysis of Lenovo, this paper establishes a set of supplier assessment index system based on quality, price, service, supply ability and research and development ability as core indexes. For secondary indexes, this paper innovatively pays attention to indexes such as long term price down incentive plan, quality improvement plan, sustainable development ability, pricing competiveness, and technical progressiveness; with such indexes suppliers’sustainable development ability and performance within the competitive environment can also be fairly justified and considered.(3) Another innovative attempt in this paper is shown by adopting the aggregation of group opinions from expert group when assessing Lenovo’s suppliers with Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process. To avoid deviation of assessment result from expert group, each expert’s scoring weight is taken into consideration through combining both Priori Weight and Posterior Weight.When applying the supplier assessment system established in this paper to Lenovo’s supplier choice among four CPU radiator suppliers, assessment system’s scientificity, practicability, and effectiveness are proven through actual and corrective results.
