The Study On The Technology Efficiency And Influent Factor Of The Listed Bio-pharmaceuticals Enterprises In China

21st century is the age of biological. Lots of countries increased the investment in thefield of biological and of which bio-pharmaceutical industry is the top priority. Our countryincreased the investment in the field of bio-pharmaceutical industry too. From1billion Yuan’sinvestment in R&D during the period of “10thfive-year plan” to10billion Yuan’s investmentin the period of “12thfive-year” period, the development of bio-pharmaceutical industry ofour county reaches a new level. Comparing with foreign bio-pharmaceutical companies, theefficient of Chinese bio-pharmaceutical enterprise is low for the lacking of R&D investmentand the scale of the enterprise is small. By measuring the technical efficiency and analyzingthe reasons of low efficiency, this article hopes to find out the methods which can improve theefficiency of bio-pharmaceutical enterprises.Basing on the theory of the Technique economic and Project management, this studytakes a research on the status of the bio-pharmaceutical enterprise at home and abroad. Thisarticle also introduces the principle of DEA and SFA method and the status of using thismethod. It also analyzes the general situation of bio-pharmaceutical enterprises in Chinathrough the introduction of the actual conditions of China’s141listed bio-pharmaceuticalenterprises.This study taking labor, capital and knowledge stock as input indicators, advocatebusiness income as output indicators, use DEA and SFA method to measured the technicalefficiency of20listed Chinese bio-pharmaceutical enterprises. The results are compared andit concluded that DEA and SFA two methods are consistent.Moreover, this article uses SFAmethod to analyses the factors that influence technical efficiency of enterprises, and finds outthe positive and negative factors that influence the efficiency of enterprises. Finally putsforward several proposals to improve the technical efficiency of bio-pharmaceuticalenterprises.Bio-pharmaceutical enterprises as high and new technology enterprises, to increase thenumber of employees blindly can not improve the main business income of enterprises, whileto improve the stock of knowledge, expand the scale of enterprise may improve the main business income of bio-pharmaceutical enterprise. The release of new drug and the holdingquantity of patents, the proportion of state-owned shares, the cooperation with scientificresearch institution, the financing capability, the R&D input and the industry concentrationhave a positive impact to improve the technical efficiency of enterprise. While the proportionof R&D personnel, the equity incentive, the spirit and capability of entrepreneurs have nosignificant negative impact on the technical efficiency.This study not only calculates and analyzes the technical efficiency ofbio-pharmaceutical enterprises but also proved the rationality of using DEA and SFA methodto evaluate the technical efficiency in the bio-pharmaceutical enterprise. Meanwhile, thisstudy quantifies the qualitative factors that influence the technical efficiency, which providesa reference to evaluate technical efficiency in the other types of enterprises.
