Recently, the competency model has long been a focus for concern by psychologists and humanresource management researchers.Competency has been studied for a long time since it proposed, and itsresearch methods has gradually matured, the research involved industries has covered a wide range.But thestudies on the competency model for middle-level managers of coal enterprise are uncommon. In order toenrich the study of competency, this thesis tries to figure out the competency model for middle-levelmanagers of coal enterprise.The research selects middle-level manager of coal enterprises from Henan Province.The research usesthe literature analytic method, behavior event research techniques and questionnaire survey methods todiscuss the competency model for middle-level managers of coal enterprise, and compiles the“Competency Questionnaire for middle-level managers of coal enterprise in Henan”,constructs a featureindex system.The results are as following:In the first part, the competency model for middle-level managers of coal enterprise in Henan wasbuilt, which includes seven dimensions:attention to detail, safety awareness, capacity for work, personalquality, goal orientation, team leadership,problem-solving ability.Second, in the research of middle-level managers in coal enterprise of competent characteristic to theirwork performance achievements influence, capacity for work, safety awareness, goal orientation, attentionto detail, problem-solving ability have the remarkable positive influence to the job dedication; capacity forwork, safety awareness, attention to detail, problem-solving have the remarkable positive influence to thetask performance; team leadership, capacity for work, personal quality have the remarkable positiveinfluence to the interpersonal facilitation.Third, based on the competency model, by using the analytic hierarchy process to enactment rightweight for each indicator.While using the behavior anchor level to setting grade level for each indicator.Eventually building a feature index system for middle-level managers of coal enterprise.
