Strategic Capability Of SME And Its Role In Business Growth

This research around the practical problem that many SMEs have short life time and with the " strategic capability of SME on its business growth" as the theme. Firstly defining the connotation and compose of the strategic capability by reading and analyzing related literature and combined the characteristics of the SMEs to explore the compose of the SMEs strategic capability,further obtaining the evaluation system of the SMEs strategic capability by operations research.Secondly doing the theoretical analysis of SMEs strategic capability effect on growth performance and building the hypothesis:strategic capabilities of SMEs have significant positive impact on business growth performance.Third in this paper the author collects SMEs date via a questionnaire in inner mongolia region to empirical test.One is applying fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the strategic capability in inner Mongolia region,the other is to exam the assumption with canonical correlation analysis.Through the above study, we can get the following conclusion:First, content and constituent elements of strategic capability.By analyzing and sorting through the connotations of a group of international and domestic academics strategic capability is defined as information analytical capacity,responding to opportunity capacity,setting and choosing strategy,getting,integrating and using of resources to fufill sustainable development facing the complex and dynamic environment which includes three abilities as follows:firstly the ability of discovering,predicting and catching the strategic opportunity through analyzing the environment;secondly the ability of strategic decision as making strategic goal and choosing business direction;thirdly the ability of integration of resource as choosing,getting and using resources.Second, The overall performance of SMEs strategic capability in inner Mongolia is satisfied.This paper will evaluate the level of SMEs strategic capability using fuzzy evaluation by5-point likert scale.Firstly the ability of catching opportunity of SMEs in the region is4.43by the5-point likert scale,the overall performance is satisfied;Secondly the ability of strategic decision is4.01;Lastly the ability of integrating resources is3.86,the overall performance is not very high.Third, The SMEs strategic capability have remarkable impact on growth performance.this paper proposes the hypothesis that the three abilities of SMEs strategic capability have remarkable impact on growth performance through the exploratory analysis in chapter four,then exam the hypothesis by canonical correlation analysis,test result indicates that suggestions are offered,three abilities of SMEs strategic capability including capability of catching opportunity,making strategic decision and integrating resource and have remarkable impact on growth performance.
