A Study Of The Promoting Path To Industrial Agglomeration Area Based On Chengdu Railway Traffic Industry

The concept of Industrial agglomeration area is derived from the theory of MarshallIndustrial Zone. It is an important spatial carrier of enterprise, population, resources, capitalagglomeration. It is an important strategic platform of realizing industrial cluster. ChengduCity has a reputation of "railway city" with rich resources of regional railway traffic industry.There are numerous excellent companies such as China Railway Eryuan, China RailwayEight Bureau and the Southwest Institute of China Railway in Jinniu District. As a result,Jinniu District has an innate advantage of developing industrial agglomeration area based onits railway traffic industry. On the basis of the current situation of railway traffic industry inJinniu District, He Dong et al first put forward the strategic concept of constructing Industrialagglomeration area based on railway traffic industry according to the investigation of in the"on the construction of rail transit industry gathering area (Comprehensive TransportationIndustry Park) Research Report (2008)". The report was affirmed by the leaders in Chengduand Sichuan, and it was transformed as government’s strategic decision. Rail transit industrywas identified as the dominant industry in Jinniu District. The government of Jinniu Districtintroduced the China Railway Construction Group to invest the rail transit Industrialagglomeration area, rail transit industry cluster district started construction in2012March.How to build rail transit industry gathering area, promote the Chengdu railway traffic industrydevelopment, there are many problems to be studied. This thesis, taking the paths thatpromote rail transit industry cluster as the research subject, has great theoretical and practicalsignificance.Compared with the studies at home and abroad, the thesis has made some innovationwork from the following two aspects:First, referring to the related literature, it tries to analyze the mechanism of theformation of Industrial agglomeration area based on Chengdu railway traffic industry fromtwo aspects of endogenous and exogenous power by integrating the theories of economies ofscale, economies of scope, the industrial division of labor and innovation network theory.Endogenous power includes the industrial division of labor, innovation network; exogenouspower consists of the external economies of scale, external economies of scope, industrialpolicySecond, according to the current situation of the development of Chengdu city railwaytraffic industry, it puts forward four kinds of development path to Industrial agglomerationarea based on railway traffic industry, that is,"double chain drive","unity of industry andcity","headquarters economy building" and "industrial estate" path.1. The path of double chain drive. Double Chain refers to rail transit chain andproduction chain. Depending on the core leading enterprises on the rail transit chain andproduction chain, this patten leads the agglomeration of related supporting enterprises, pushesthe extension of industrial chain to the downstream, promotes the development of industrial cluster.2.The path of uniting industry and city. Through the improvement of infrastructure inindustrial cluster, it could promote the development of trail transportation industry, push thedevelopment of productive service industry and service industry, drive the spatialaccumulation of population and enterprises, realize the integration of industry and city space,advance the development of the industrial cluster.3.The path of promoting headquarters economy building. Through the development ofheadquarters economy building, it could construct the headquarters of rail transit research anddevelopment, engineering construction headquarters, manufacturing headquarters andfinancial headquarters, and attract domestic and foreign enterprise headquarter, advancing theaccumulation of enterprises, population and capital, promoting the development of industrycluster district.4.The path of advancing industrial estate. China Railway Group, as the industrial estatedeveloper of rail transit industrial park, is responsible for the park unified planning, operation,investment and management, through the project investment and industry one-stop service, inorder to attract enterprises and to promote industrial cluster district development.There are some limitations in this study. At the beginning of constructing Industrialagglomeration area based on railway traffic industry, the lack of relevant statistical data,therefore, it is difficult to do quantitative analysis; because of relevant literatures and studiesat home and abroad are rare, there are limitations to the study of the promoting path toIndustrial agglomeration area.
