Supply And Demand Research On Rural Social Endowment Service In Heilongjiang Province Under The Background Of Populatiomn Aging

Population aging is a serious social problem throughout the world. The developed countries have already entered the aging society for a long time, and many developing countries have entered or are being in the process of entering in aging society. From1999, China stepped into the rank of aging countries, and became one of the developing countries which had early entered in aging society. Since Heilongjiang province entered the aging society in2005, the degree of aging population has been increasing continuously. Compared with urban areas, the development of population aging in rural areas is faster, the problem of "getting old before getting rich" is more severe. Besides, the functions of family support for the elders is increasingly weak as the result of practising birth control, urbanization development, children’s weakening filial piety and other causes. However, the social welfare institutions cannot fully compensate for this "vacancy", not only in quantitative terms but also in service quality cannot meet the aged’s demand. Therefore, the endowment problem of the rural elderly is particularly acute.Under such a social background, there is much important theoretical and practical significance to do the supply and demand research on rural social endowment service in Heilongjiang province. In theory, this new research perspective can not only make up for the shortage of current study, but also provide some important theoretical basis for formulating urban-rural social pension security system and developing rural social endowment service. In practice, it helps to carry forward the virtue of "respecting the old"; to improve the quality of elders’ life and liberate them from the worries about future; to maintain the long-term stability and order of rural society and promote the establishment of socialist harmonious society; to accelerate the construction of new socialist countryside, speed up urbanization and promote rural economic and social development.From the perspective of economics, with the background of population aging this paper makes a study of supply and demand of rural social endowment service in Heilongjiang province. The paper is mainly divided into six parts. The first part is to analyze the current status and development trend of population aging. The second part focuses on doing deep analysis on Heilongjiang rural elders’endowment situation, existing problems and future choices. Part three aims to make a qualitative analysis to the necessity of system construction and the principal influencing factors of rural social endowment service, and then make quantitative analysis to the current situation of demands for rural social endowment service using the data from questionnaire. Part four is to analyze the supply system, influencing factors and current situations of rural social endowment service. Part five is to analyze the conflicts between supply and demand of rural social endowment service, and then find the causes. Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, this thesis puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote supply-demand equilibrium of rural social endowment service in Heilongjiang province.
