Study On The Harmonious Development Between Economy And Society In Vietnam

Vietnam belongs to developing countries. In1986, Vietnam began to reform. In1996, the Communist Party of the Eight puts forward industrialization, urbanization and modernization of the country. The socialist market economic system was officially established in2001, which focused on three economic strategies:developing a variety of economic ingredients, giving play to the dominant position of state-owned economy, and setting up a bundled management system of market economy. In promoting innovation for more than20years, Vietnam’s social and economic development has gain great achievement. But many problems in socio-economic were becoming more and more obvious. This article aimed to find reasons, and try to find way to harmonious development.At first, based on the related theories of social and economic development and human development index (HDI), this paper analyzes the specific circumstances of Vietnam’s domestic development, which shows that, Vietnam gained great achievement in social and economic development since the reform. Meanwhile, Vietnam was challenged by prominent problems, such as the inefficiency of economic growth, low level of labor productivity, and widening social inequality. Then, it penetrates into the reason. Finally, the paper proposes viable policy recommendations, including improving the efficiency and quality of economic development, completing health care system and education system, in order to promote the harmonious socio-economic development.
