Study On The Relationship Between The Investment Of The Intellectual Property Rights And The Core Competence Of Corporation Of The Manufacture Industry

In the times of knowledge economy, the competition between enterprises havebeen become the competition of knowledge and competent people. Permanent assets,such as, the traditional machinery equipment, house building etc. could not bring thecompetition advantage for the company. The intangible assets, such as, patents, patenttechnology, trademark right etc. belongs to the intellectual property of the enterprise.Those intangible assets which one company possesses have been developed thefundamental of the core competence that the company achieve and develop. Therefore,in the era of rapid science and technology development as well as the great explosionof knowledge, intellectual property rights has become the key factors which theenterprise gain the sustainable competitive advantage. It is also the importantguarantee promoting the core competence of the enterprise. Nowadays, the China’smanufacturing industry should realize the transition from Made in China to Chinacreate, the most important thing is that China must have its own core competence andthe advantage. However, acquiring knowledge property asset is the good way torealize its transition.This paper is treated as the research sample based in the manufacturingenterprise which has been listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchanges, it studies that theintellectual property investment of enterprise effect on the core competence of theenterprise. Firstly, we especially explain the relationship between the intellectualrights and the core competence of the enterprise. Besides, according to the relevanttheory, we propose the research hypothesis of this paper and select the input indexwhich can represent the investment of the intellectual rights of the enterprise and takethe method of the principle component analysis to form the index of the corecompetence of the company, establishing the multiple regression model which theinvestment of the intellectual rights effect on the competence of the company. In theend, we use the statistical software Spss.17.0to have a regression analysis for thegained statistics.What is more, we validate the relationship between the investment ofthe intellectual and the core competence of the company.The result draw from the empirical analysis demonstrates that the capitalinvestment of the intellectual rights in a company and the investment of the qualifiedperson have a positive effect on the promotion of the core competence of the company.Therefore, the intellectual rights assets are the important intangible assets for the company. It can promote the financial performance of the company and increase thecore competence. And then the company should do a good work in the aspect of theintellectual rights. In the end, according to the result of the research, we haveproposed policy about how to promote the level of the intellectual rights.
