Study On The Peasants Entrepreneurship In The Outskirts Of Urumqi

In recent years, with the constant promotion of the urbanization, the longstanding “Three AgriculturalProblems” have become the bottleneck to China’s contemporary economical and social development. Tosolve these problems, not only the non-agricultural measures should be taken, but also the measuresestablished in agriculture, rural areas and peasantry, as called the measures from the interior of “ThereAgricultural Problems” should be more emphasized. When solving these problems by the latter measures,peasants’ entrepreneurship should be encouraged and propelled and the agricultural structure adjustmentshould be accelerated at the same time, aiming at breaking a new path to solve the “Three AgriculturalProblems”. However, as a principal approach to increase peasants’ income, peasants’ entrepreneurship hasalways been ignored. Therefore, taking farmers’ entrepreneurship research as a starting point, this paperstudies the famers’ entrepreneurship in the suburbs of Urumqi in a micro-scale. The main research contentsand conclusion are as follows:Firstly, on the basis of previous research results, combining the characteristic of peasants in ourcountry, the concept of farmers’ entrepreneurship is defined. And on this basis, the form of farmerentrepreneurship will be summed up as four types.Secondly, the overall situations of the two aspects of the natural and social environment of the studyareas are outlined in this paper.Thirdly, according to the result of on-the-spot investigation, this paper analyzes the main path andcharacteristics of Urumqi suburban farmers’ entrepreneurship, and systematically summarizes six problemsof Urumqi suburban farmers existing in the entrepreneurial process.Fourthly, based on the data of Urumqi suburban farmers’ entrepreneurship questionnaire, SPSS17.0statistical software is used to Logit regression treatment of sample data, and the statistical results wereanalyzed. The result shows that the most significant factors which influence on the Urumqi suburbanfarmers’ entrepreneurship mainly include gender, culture degree, work experience, risk preference,management ability, entrepreneurship training and financial lending.Based on the study above, the paper comes up with corresponding policy proposals on enhancing thepeasant entrepreneurship in the suburbs of Urumqi.
