| The degree of urbanization is a symbol for the level of a country or region’s economy, society, culture, and technology, but also an important symbol to measure the degree of social organization and management of the nation and region. China’s urbanization is facing the double pressure of accelerating development and protecting the farmland. On the one hand, since the reform and opening-up, China has gradually liberalized the original control of population movement. So a large number of rural populations flow into the city and speed up the process of urbanization, social and economic development of the urban and rural areas driven by the policy, and improve the regional industrial structure. On the other hand, with the rapid development of China’s economy and society, part of the arable land will inevitably be taken up in the process of urbanization. The basic national conditions of population growth, arable land shortage, insufficient lands to the people call for everyone must treasure and employ every inch land. How to coordinate the contradiction between urbanization and cultivated land protection is a urgent problem to be solved in the current age.To do this, the paper takes Anhui Province as an example and researches the coordinated development of the urbanization and cultivated land utilization, constructs the evaluation models of urbanization developing level and cultivated land using level based on the sustainable development theory, coordinated development theory, land economics theory and other correlative theories. So the paper chooses time series of2000-2010and17prefecture-level cities to discuss the changes in the levels of development of urbanization, and the land utilization in Anhui Province, studies the regional urbanization level and cultivated land utilization level by cluster analysis, explores the change of the amount of cultivated land over the decade in Anhui Province. At the same time, this article use the principal component analysis to research the main factors which cause changes in the amount of cultivated land; then use coordination degree model and spatial autocorrelation model to research the temporal and spatial relevant relationships between urbanization level and cultivated land utilization change. At last, the paper puts forward some countermeasures of protecting the cultivated land in the process of urbanization in Anhui Province. |
