As the saying goes "hunger breeds discontentment" however, grain production is tanking the cultivated land as the basis, once the amount of cultivated land shaken, the agricultural production will be collapsed like the domino, which is bound to transfer to the fragile "Food lifeblood", then threaten the food security of our country. Even though China had only used less than one-tenth of the world’s cultivated land resources to feed more than one-fifth of the world’s population, there is no denying the fact that the cultivated land resources in China are shortage. Cultivated land is fundamental for farmers to exist, is the cornerstone of the agricultural development, is one of the crucial factors for rural construction. However, once the valuable cultivated land resource is wasted, it will be difficult to recovery. How to utilize the limited cultivated land resource more effectively is imminent. So, what impacts that the farmland abandonment issues will bring to China’s agricultural? How much will it impact? What is the reason to the farmland abandonment? And how to properly solve the problems and so on. This research is based on these questions,in the integrated use of the sociological related theory, knowledge and methods, through the investigation and Study on farmland abandonment problems in the Antu County of Jilin province in-depth, in view of the above problems, try to dissect and answer these questions,so as to find a better way to avoid the harm of farmland abandonment problem effectively. In this paper, through literature research, structured interview, empirical investigation and case analysis, the conclusion is:the amount of cultivated land of Antu County is decreasing every year, but under the influence of a variety of reasons, the total grain output continued to maintain the growth momentum, and the hazards of farmland abandonment issues also have become the " recessive crisis " temporarily. If things go on like this, once the recessive crisis appears when the time is ripe, it is a terrible threat for our country’s food security and agricultural stability constitute. Therefore we should be early attention to the farmland abandonment issues and try to strangle" the harm " in the cradle. In order to solve the problem of farmland abandonment properly, it is necessary to apply the synthetical methods of increasing the investment, improving the production efficiency, promoting the reasonable circulation of cultivated land, improving the rural environment, implementing the scale operation and more industrialized agricultural operations. Only in this way can we effectively solve the problems caused by the farmland abandonment to make the harm away from China’s agricultural production.
