From the beginning of the last two decades of the last century, office automation has been more and more extensively used and developed in the world. And each company regards every aspect of the information as a priority. Therefore, the every features of the office automation system has improved rapidly. With the launching of the XX Securities Company’s information construction in early2002, a province-wide unified, secure, efficient OA system set up. Office automation is an important part of the enterprise information system. With the rapid development of OA system, more and more enterprises use the day-to-day office OA system for the day-to-day work is more efficient, and more humanized. The standard work is done by the computer while the human activities are focused on the core part of the office business.This article analyses the application status of XX Securities Company’s OA system through literature study and comprehensive analysis. First, it analyses the definition and characteristics of the OA system as well as the development and current situation at home and abroad. It also analyses the OA system’s trends, the necessity and importance of system functional requirements. In addition, it analyses the drawbacks of the OA system in the operation of the XX Securities Company through introducing the XX Securities Company and the characteristics of the industries. It also refers to the problems which exist in running by ways of the market and technical and itself. Finally, it puts forward an advanced strategy for the XX Securities Company’s OA system, mainly from the formation of the paperless office concept, establishing OA system in line with the company’s characteristics, enhance the management capacity of the OA system effectiveness evaluation feedback-the introduction of a third-party assessment agencies, strengthen staff computer skills training or guide-assisted design work procedures, system maintenance, security, construction and other aspects to analyze. Through the study on this article, it will help to build and improve the office automation for certain in the XX Securities Company, while improving the office efficiency in the XX Securities Company.
