Corn is one of the three major food crops, its use is widespread, involving food, chemicals, feed and other fields, Played a crucial role in the development of China’s nationaleconomy and social stability. Now, the elements on the corn production of per unit areaincreasingly become saturated, corn acreage is relatively fixed. Under such conditions,Improving the efficiency of corn production has becoming an important means to promote thegrowth of maize yield production. Therefore, the study of maize production efficiency has avery important significance to the development of China’s corn industry. The main conclusions: Based on the agricultural product cost and income panel datafrom2001to2010in15provinces producing corns, this thesis analyzes the growth of cornproduction efficiency in China maize zone in time difference and zone difference usingMalmquist Index Method. The conclusions are as follows: the growth rate of TFP in ourcountry’s maize zone from2001to2010was-1.3%and it grew in the serrated way. What’smore, the improvement of technology is the key issue in promoting the growth of TFP. At last, the TFP in north-east and north-west is higher than that in north of China and south-west.TFP growth rate of15main maize producing provinces of corn production indescending order is Heilongjiang> Xinjiang> Gansu> Shanxi> Inner Mongolia> Jilin>Liaoning> Hebei> Shaanxi> Guizhou> Shandong> Ningxia> Henan> Yunnan Sichuan.
