Research On Development Strategy Of Coastal Tourism Resources In The West Coast Of Hainan Island

In resent years, the ocean has gradually been getting into people’s vision, its unique charm attracts the attention of the world. Although there are few special reliable statistics about coastal tourism, people believe that marine and coastal tourism is one of the fastest growing areas in the development of world’s tourism in the past ten years. Hainan is the only tropical island province, and is so important to our country’s ocean development. In the context of globalization, the international tourism island of Hainan is significant for putting China’s tropical island tourism to the whole world. Therefore, it is important to enhance the global competitiveness of international tourism in Hainan Island. Hainan owns rich coastal tourism resources, until now, the development and utilization of eastern part of coastal areas are relatively mature, and west coast of Hainan is still rough. Although the development stays in low level, the potential of the west coast is really strong. In order to improve the tourism development in Hainan, it is very urgent to investigate, evaluate and develop tourism resources of west coast of Hainan Island.This paper, based on analysis with tourism resources, development status and existing problems on the west coast of Hainan Island, learning from foreign and domestic experiences, comprehensively using of the geography, management, tourism and other basics and theories, analyses the tourism resources development strategy of western part of Hainan coastal and turns its resources advantages into economic advantages by grasping the advantages of the development of the west coast. The aim of this paper is to finally activate the tourism industry in west coast of Hainan, and to propose some corresponding counter measures and suggestions for the tourism development and its development in west coast Hainan.The main contents of the study include:Summary of domestic and foreign coastal tourism research status and development trends; analysis the theoretical basis of the development of tourism resources of the west coast of Hainan Island, as well as tourism resources in west coast of Hainan Island, development status and existing problems; introduction of the successful experiences of the world’s famous coastal tourism areas; and eventually the development strategies of the tourism resources of the coastal zone in the west part of Hainan Island.
