With the improvement of people's living standards,people are eager to stay away from the complicated life of the city,to relax their bodies and minds,so the tourism develops rapidly.The island is unique and romantic because of its special geographical location,custom culture,resource landscape and ecological environment.In recent years,the number of island tourists has grown rapidly.With the strong pull of tourism on GDP,the government attaches great importance to tourism and strongly supports its policies.Island tourism has great development space and a vast tourism market.In the sustainable development of island tourism development,residents 'participation and common development are of great importance.Taking the island tourism development as the theme and the West Island tourism resort as the case,the author established the performance evaluation system of island tourism development through literature research,questionnaire survey and in-depth interview.It mainly consists of four aspects: environmental performance,social performance,economic performance and cultural performance.Then through the questionnaire survey to obtain the island residents 'perception of the importance and reality of these four aspects,so as to reflect the residents' degree of attention and satisfaction with these four aspects,and then through confidence analysis and Z test,the credibility and consistency of the data are analyzed.Then through IPA analysis of questionnaire data,according to the results of IPA data analysis,the paper puts forward corresponding measures and countermeasures for the future development strategy of tourism development in West Island.
