In recent years, with the declining of economic development growth, enterprises are facing a more and more critical competition situation. As an important factor for enterprises to enhance their competitiveness, technology has been increasingly getting more attention from enterprises and has an important position in strategic level. In the current situation, how to promote the corporation development through making and carrying out rational technical capital strategy should be widely concerned. In this paper, Sany Heavy Industry, the leading enterprise of engineering machinery manufacturing industry in which technical capital plays a more obvious role is selected as the object of study. On the one hand, it aims to prove the important role of technological capital strategy. On the other hand, it can provide recommendations for improvement in how to use technology capital more effectively. It can be regarded by comparable enterprises of the same industry and other industries as an reference to gain advantage in the fierce competition through the improvement and perfection of the technology capital strategy.This paper adopts case analyzing method, and Sany Heavy Industry, which is on behalf of construction machinery manufacturing industry is selected as the main research object. By calculating on the technology capital investment as well as other elements of the allocation of capital, and comparatively analyzing with Zoomlion and XCMG, two comparable enterprises of the same industry, it points out the advantages and inadequacies of Sany Heavy Industry. With the use of Porter’s five forces model analysis and SOWT analysis to analyze the existing capital strategic model from all angles of the competition, the article points out the advantages and disadvantages in order to make recommendations for improvement.The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part presents the research background, the main research questions, objectives and methods. The second part is an introduction about technology capital theory and capital contribution to the enterprise. The third part is the case description, telling about the corporate background of Sany Heavy Industry, the current situation and the questions performed out by the corporation, and then put forward the point of view of this article. The fourth part is the main analysis part of the article. Firstly there are calculations on the technology capital and configuration with other elements of capital as well as comparative analysis with comparable enterprises. We can see Sany Heavy Industry invests much in technology capital, but the proportion of technical personnel is to be improved, and the company’s human capital efficiency needs strengthening. Then Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model is used to analyze the competitive environment of the industry, and SOWT model is used for comprehensive analysis of the internal and external to clear the existing competitiveness of the enterprises. After that there is a further comprehensive analysis of competitive strategy based on technology capital of Sany Heavy Industry, pointing out the essential elements of the technology capital strategy success. The fifth part is about the conclusions and recommendations. A comprehensive summary of the technology capital of Sany Heavy Industry is given according to the results of the analysis of the previous parts.And then it puts forward suggestions for improvement of the existing capital strategy.This paper argues that the corporation should make technical capital accumulation scientifically according to the conditions of internal and external, arrange investment in technology research and development accordingly, give full consideration to the customers’ needs on the basis of relying on the development trends of globalization and master the R&D autonomy actively. At the same time, attention should be paid to the technical capital strategy in the configuration and implementation of the entire enterprise level. The corporation should make rational allocation of capital and improve enterprise management mechanism and organizational structure, so that the technology capital strategy can maximize the effect on enterprises to gain competitive advantage.
