The earliest Chinese construction of highway is Taiwan province. In1970, northfrom the keelung, south to the north and south of kaohsiung highway began to build,in October1978completion, lasted for nine years, the total length of373kilometers,from then on China’s expressway opened a new chapter. The building highway ofmainland started relatively late, but high starting point and developing fast. By the endof1984Shanghai Shanghai-Jiading expressway construction, on October31,1988open to traffic, become the mainland highway pilot. By the end of2012nationalhighway total mileage of92000kilometers, ranking second in the world. The rapiddevelopment of the service area brings opportunity, but by contrast, the existingservice area in mode of operation, function orientation, industrial integrated designhas serious hysteresis quality, seriously impedes service area overall sustainabledevelopment.In order to expressway service area integrated benefit maximize, thisproblem also been caused by academic group and related personage attention, modeof operation. And a lot of research on function planning, industrial integrated designhave been done. But so far we has not formed systematic and widely used theoreticalsystem of the expressway service area, to the long-term rapid development bringsbottleneck. This article will take Hunan Province as an example to make relevantresearch, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.This article was based on the Hunan expressway service area management reality,from mode of operation, function orientation, industrial integrated design perspectiveto Hunan expressway service area have made a systematic research.on the basis of thebackground and method of research, firstly, in the second chapter presents theexpressway service area, mode of operation, service industry related definition, nature,attribute, etc., and industrial integrated design connotation and theoretical basis.Secondly, Comparative analysis of the domestic and foreign highway service areamanagement mode was undertaken in the third chapter, and the analysis of the UnitedStates, France, Japan, Korea and other developed countries, as well as China’sGuangdong, Sichuan, Gansu, Taiwan, and other brother province expressway servicearea function, operation mode and advantages.Finally, this paper puts forwardspecific improvement path of Hunan highway service area of the operation mode andindustrial integrated design, and put forward Hunan expressway service area toimplement the unified management, unified planning, commercialize, specialization,diversification, as well as the module and the project of both scientific and industrialintegrated design.
