A Study And Analyses Of Touristic Ecological Footprint Of Turpan

In recent years, with the continuous development of the tourism industry,tourism industry of china has entered a new stage, but due to the over-developmentof the tourism industry, the pursuit of short-term benefits, it also appears seriousenvironmental problems. Ecological footprint from the perspective of quantitativemeasure which analyzes human activities that result in ecological consumption of thenatural environment on the surface of the earth, and it is a new method of ecologicaleconomics which makes environment sustainably develop. Tourism ecologicalfootprint is the method combining the theory and practice which applies the theoryand method of ecological footprint to tourism. The paper takes Turpan as anempirical study area, analyzing the tourism ecological footprint in Turpan. Throughexplaining the concept of ecological footprint and tourism ecological footprint,construct a model of tourism ecological footprint, calculate and analyze six aspectsof food, accommodation, transportation, visiting, shopping, entertainment in tourismactivities. Finally, put forward some practical suggestions on tourism sustainabledevelopment in Turpan.Firstly，it make commentary on the research progress of the ecological footprintand the tourism ecological footprint home and abroad, make sure the content of theresearch, and then propose the research methods and technical routes. Secondly,explain tourism ecological footprint theoretical basis, method and steps of tourismecological footprint calculation model. Besides, make explanation on the sub-modelfrom the six aspects of tourism catering, accommodation, transportation, visiting,shopping, and entertainment. Take Turpan as empirical research area, calculate thetourism ecological footprint of the city in Turpan in2010, and make the calculationanalysis of the research area from the six elements of tourism activities, get the resultof tourism ecological footprint in Turpan in2010. Moreover, recommendationswhich are on the sustainable development of tourism from tourism catering,accommodation, transport, shopping has been proposed on tourism in Turpan.Through the research in Turpan, following conclusions have been drawn:（1） The tourism development in Turpan is not at the sustainable condition in2010, the tourism ecological deficit reaches156.1477×10^-4hm²per capita.（2） From the perspective of land type and consumption constitutes, the largestproportion of tourism ecological footprint is tourism traffic, it is mainly caused bythe consumption of fossil energy transportation, following with tourism catering, accommodation. However, the visiting and entertainment are relatively small in theoverall impact. There is a certain amount of space for development.（3） The analytical research on tourism ecological footprint in Turpan is aquantitative static value and not to reflect the trend of dynamic change of tourism inresearch area.（4） Elements Affecting tourism ecological footprint of Turpan are travellingscale （population number, day number）, the building area of accommodationfacilities （grade, quantity）, the distance of travel, transportation choices, compositionof ingredients and bio-productive land area of the dietary consumption structure.Make appropriate recommendations for the tourism sustainable development inTurpan.
