Adjustment Development Of Hydropower Resources In Yunnan National Interests

According to the developing reality of Yunnan economy and society, it isinevitable to accelerate the development of hydropower resources in Yunnan, andYunnan as a province with many different minority nationalities, there are interests’damages in the development of water resource, and without harmony in the interests’allocation during the development of hydropower resources. During the developmentof hydroelectric power development, the protection of the minority nationalitiesinterests in this region is not enough, their legitimate rights and interests are not wellprotected, and the economic losses are not promptly compensated. They don’t get anequivalent benefits from the exploitation of hydroelectric power. So by balancing thebenefits allocation between different interest groups to protect the minoritynationalities’ legitimate rights during the exploitation of hydroelectric power, toensure the minority nationalities can share the fruit of the development equally.This paper aimed to conduct a research to the lack of protective systems forprotecting the minority nationalities interests in Yunnan, in the process ofhydroelectric power exploitation. As an analyzing to the compensatory system andinterests allocation system, attempt to put forward the view that the protective systemshould be established during the development of hydroelectric power, to safeguard thelegitimate rights and minority nationalities interests’ damages, and to ensure that localhydroelectric power will improve the people’s living standard, and to accelerate thedevelopment in this region.
