Research On Issues Of City Commercial Banks Cross-regional Development In Hebei Province

City commercial banks in China are the special product of the reorganization of financialsystem. At the time of the financial background, unitary management pattern is necessary inorder to prevent and control risks. With the economic globalization and the deepening offinancial reform in our country, the operating strength of city commercial banks grow stronger;the function that merely in the service of the local financial system have quietly changed; thedevelopment of city commercial banks in China have made great progress; negative effect ofunitary management pattern emerged and become the key factor that hinder its development.It has become the consensus that regional restrictions have disadvantage on the developmentof city commercial banks. Exploring a new way to break the regional restrictions so as toenhance the overall competitiveness has become an effective strategic choice for citycommercial banks. Nationally, the level of cross-regional development of city commercialbanks in Hebei province is not high. As the policy about cross-regional developmenttightening in recent years, city commercial banks are facing the reality of searching for a newway out. Based on the domestic as well as the environment in the province of Hebei, thecross-regional development of Hebei city commercial banks is discussed in this paper.In this paper, SWOT analysis combined with case analysis is used for the cross-regionaldevelopment research of city commercial banks in Hebei province. This paper is divided intofive parts: The first part is the introductions which include the backgrounds, significance,domestic and overseas research status, research methods and so on. The second part startedwith policies of cross-regional development and then introduced current operating situation ofthe domestic vs. Hebei city commercial banks. The third to the fifth part is the focus of thisarticle, of which, the third part emphatically analyzed the strength, weakness, opportunity andthreat of cross-regional development of Hebei city commercial banks by SWOT analysismethod. Through three cases of the domestic city commercial banks cross-regionaldevelopment mode, I made the feasibility analysis for cross-regional development of Hebei city commercial banks in part four, and come to the conclusion that city commercial banksalliance mode should be adopted. The fifth part of the paper is suggestions based on the aboveanalysis: Hebei city commercial banks should set up branches reasonable around theBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei metropolis circle; based on Hebei to support local small-medium-sizedindustrial clusters; inward potential and promote the construction of rural banks actively;develop the non-traditional business and innovate service mode; strengthen the talent pool ofcross-regional development and improve the staff training system.
