Many international brand hotels havebeen pouring into china, lots money invested into the hotel market, and high-starhotels have been built continuously, the phenomenon of geospatial agglomeration ofurban high-star hotel is remarkable. Which have aggravated the competition, but alsohave promoted cooperation, to seek a competitive advantage. As one of the openingand developing city in china-Xiamen, high-star hotel’s number increasing, brand andinvestment diversification, regional geographic agglomeration obvious, which hasbeen entering a new stage.This article based on our hotel star system, taking the all high-star hotels, whichare listed, in Xiamen as the cases. Expounding the hospitality industry, especially thehigh-star hotel industry in Xiamen, using the geographic method to identify thespatial agglomeration of the Xiamen high-star hotel, and identify the characteristics.The spatial agglomeration of the Xiamen high-star hotel has its own process, thearticle analyzes the spatial agglomeration process of Xiamen high-star hotel fromspace and time. In space, it shows three characteristics: distribution in concentriccircles, obvious directional and massive distribution. In time, it experiences a seriesof periods: the bud, spread, scale, optimize. This article profits from agglomerationresearch experience and the correlation theories, summarizes the mechanism ofhigh-star hotel spatial agglomeration in Xiamen province. Finally, on the basis, wemake some advice to the development of Xiamen high-star hotel industry. |
