Current research on innovative city construction has just started in China, butwith China’s rapid economic development, various economic problems emerge in anendless stream, in urgent need of social innovation. Centralized city as population,civilization and wealth, is the human society economic activity center, is thebirthplace of social innovation. City economics, city innovation as external economicand knowledge spillover, to improve the country’s innovation capacity and itsimportant role in promoting the development of the national economy. Therefore, theinnovative city construction has an important effect on the Chinese city developmentand China’s overall national strength increased, but most of the innovative cityconstruction of traditional qualitative analysis and the weight fraction of contrast, isdifficult to reflect the innovative city of various elements of the relationship betweenthe parties and activities, for the construction of innovative city advice is verysubjective and one-sided sex. The discipline system dynamics as the researchinformation feedback system, to overcome limitations of traditional method, isapplied to study the construction of innovative city.This paper takes Kunming city as the research object of innovative cityconstruction, combining elements of innovation types in Kunming City, theconstruction of the Kunming innovative city construction index system, based ondynamics model, using the causal graph, qualitative analysis the relationship ofinnovative elements in Kunming City, using statistical analysis the quantity equationbetween the elements of innovation tool fitting, constructing innovative cityconstruction process of Kunming City, through the sensitivity analysis of systemdynamics, and the comparison of related standards, quantitative analysis of theKunming mode of action of all kinds of innovation factors and influence degree.The results show that:1.the whole society in Kunming, R&D investment level is low, the ability of independent innovation is weak.2.Kunming city economic development, dependence on natural resources, but thedevelopment potential is huge.3.Kunming city environmental situation improves, the situation is still grim, highlydependent on technology.4.Kunming city GDP per capita reached a high level, city residents living standardsimprove quickly, the ability of obtaining information significantly enhanced.
