Study On The Regional Development Of Jitai Corridor In Perspective Of Regional Integration

Since the world financial crisis in2008, the global economy is showing a trend ofreturning to regionalization from globalization. In order to ensure the sustained andhealthy development of the national economy, the state attempted to change China’seconomic development model from export-led to domestic demand-pull. In this newsituation, the localities are facing the dual pressures to improve industrial competitivenessand expanding domestic demand.In this context, academia and governments began to move their attentionfromcities toregionswith citiesas the centerin general, regional development is increasingly becoming ahot topic. Regional integration strategy, can not only improve regional competitivenessunder the premise of not affecting employment through the integration of regionalresources, but also to expand the coverage of public services, protect the region citizensequal access to public goods, and thus play a role in promoting consumption. It hasbecome a new way of regional development which is explored byvarious regions.Thepaper is from the actual situation of our country, by means of the theory ofeconomic geography, sociology, institutional, regional development theory, selected theJitai corridor of JiAn in JiangXi province as a sample，analyze the main factors affectingregional development through summarizing the characteristics of the regionaldevelopment.On this basis, it analyze the significant risks faced by the regionaldevelopment, which demonstrated that regional integration is the best choice for regionaldevelopment in future, and then investigate the development strategies.The JiTai corridor area is in a period of rapid development.With the process ofindustrialization, the employment opportunities in the region increased, thepopulationconcentrated significantly, the trade and logisticsdeveloped rapidly, economicdevelopment and urban construction has made great achievements. However,intergovernmental competition under the decentralized system causes a lot of problems,such asdeveloping new district irrationally, homogenization of industrial competitiveness,the negative externalities intensified greatly, which affect the efficiency of regionalproduction. The root of thistype of problems lies in the system defects, which must beresolved through institutional innovation. Therefore, thepaper attempts to explore areasonable way for current regional development through the study of the Jitai corridorsample, and eventually wish to use the experience to regionlike Jitai corridor to providenew ideas forregional development in China.The core of research ideas is "Feature summarizing-Factors analysis-Risk analysis- Trends predict-Strategic thinking", which commence inthe way of "the context of thequestions-the analysis of the problem-the solution of the problem". By contrast the Jitaicorridor regional developmentin time and space, analysis of the characteristics of itsdevelopment, factors, problem, situation, the paper ultimately attempt to explore a newway to promote regional development.
