With the accelerating speed of economic development and circulation ofcommodities, logistics industry is flourishing. But the resources and problems causedby the logistics activities are also followed. In face of the more strict environmentalprotection policy, how to minimize the consumption of natural resources and lenvironment pollution, protect the safety of stakeholders, and increase the economicefficiency has become a very important problem for the sustainable development oflogistics enterprises. To measure the level of green degree of logistics enterprises canhelp them find deficiencies in the management, which will contribute to improvingbusiness processes in a timely manner, and enhancing green competitiveness.After the retrospect of the results of the prior studies and related theories relatedto evaluating the green degree, this study combines literature expert interviews andDelphi Method to construct logistics enterprise green degree evaluation index system,and then calculate the weighting coefficient of each index by using AHP. Finally,17logistics enterprises are investigated and their scores of green degree are calculated.This study compared differences of the efficiency of different enterprise types,enterprise level, enterprise property and enterprise scale on the level of the evaluation.The empirical results show that, the green degree evaluation index system oflogistics enterprises is constructed by four dimensions, including resource saving,friendly environment, safety of storage and transportation, economic performance, and21specific indicators. In the four level indicators, the security of storage andtransportation is the most important factor to impact the level of logistics enterprisesgreen degree, while the economic performance is the least important one. Theimportance of the secondary indicators also has a clear ranking. The level of logisticsenterprises green degree ranges between the general and the better. To recycling allkinds of resources, establish an environmental management system, reduce the cost oflogistics activities and improve the logistics safety management system are the keyproblems. Enterprise level has a higher degree of distinction on the level of enterpriseresource-saving, the level of environment-friendly, the level of economic performanceand the level of storage and transportation security, but no for enterprise age.
