The environment problem has become great challenge that human society faces. Taking the road of continuable development has become common cognition of all circles of society. And the green product is considered the only way to continuable development. While the green product is one of objects that industrial design (ID) studies. ID is an important tache in the relation of human-society-environment, it plays a key role in creating physical environment and lifestyle for human subsistence. It is an important aspect for human to solve the environment problem, and gains widespread concerns and attentions. So ID should take on new historical mission while it gains economic benefits for enterprises. It should protect human subsistence environment, harmonize the relation of human and nature, and promote advancement and development of society. The rising of environment consciousness has become an obvious feature of the development of contemporary ID. Today, if there is no concept of environment, it is impossible to make correct evaluation on any industrial design work. So, how to make ID evaluation on the green product scientifically and objectively is very necessary.According to the outcome of previous studies, from the view of ID, and according to the characteristic of green design and ID of the green product, this paper proposed an integrated product evaluation system containing ID knowledge- the ID evaluation system of the green product based on Life Circle Assessment(LCA). The paper keep to the thinking as follows: analyzing subject backgroundâ†'reviewing research present situationâ†'confirming research contentâ†'conceiving frame of evaluation systemâ†'establishing evaluation index systemâ†'researching evaluation methodâ†'example certification.The main work in this paper includes:(1) The LCA theory is introduced in the system of ID evaluation on the green product. By comparing several common evaluation methods, this paper confirms that "fuzzy hierarchy analysis process" is used to make ID evaluation on the green product. Then the evaluation system frame is established. (2) According to the analysis to every evaluation factors of the green product and the relation between them, the hierarchical model of evaluation indexes is established. Green product design is a complex process. When making ID evaluation on it, not only the green attribute that directly related to it, but also the ID attribute should be considered. The ID attribute mainly contains aesthetics attribute and ergonomics attribute. This paper introduced ID index of the green product, and then made out general and reasonable ID evaluation index system of the green product.(3) By studying the fuzzy hierarchy analysis process, this paper proposed ID evaluation method of the green product, introduced the fuzzy hierarchy analysis process into ID evaluation successfully. The evaluation index contains both quantitative and qualitative factors, refers many factors, and is obviously hierarchical. So, the fuzzy hierarchy analysis process is fit. Combining LCA, the final evaluation process is as follows: defining the aid and rangeâ†'list analyzingâ†'establishing weight judgment matrix for evaluation index in the same hierarchyâ†'calculating combinatorial weight of each indexâ†'establishing membership function for index in the lowest hierarchyâ†'confirming relevant membership valve and educing membership grade through nondimensional treatingâ†'gaining integrated evaluation value by using the method of linearity weighting sumâ†'finally analyzing integrated score and explaining.(4) The evaluation system above is used to make ID evaluation on the torch of Beijing Olympic Games-"Propitious Clouds". After educing evaluation result, the analysis and sum-up is put up.
