At present, environmental problems, such as global warming and energy crisis, have affected human survival and development. And, the extensive mode of economicgrowth leads to our country’s excessive consumption of energy and unreasonablestructure. Meanwhile, China is the largest country of carbon dioxide emissions. Thus,China faces two aspects of the pressure, namely the challenges of domestic economictransition and the international public opinions of reducing carbon emission.Especially, as the pillar industry and the biggest energy consumption industry in ourcountry, manufacturing industry is faced with how to achieve low-carbon growthpattern and reduce energy consumption. Therefore, manufacturing industry oflow-carbonization development is an important foundation to build low carboneconomy in our country.Through the establishment of the introduction of carbon dioxide emissionreduction constraints model of economic growth and the development of China’smanufacturing industry on the conduction mechanism of carbon emission, the articlemakes a detailed theoretical analysis of some factors, including the growth of output, capital investment, technological progress, energy intensity, industrial structure andso on, that impact on carbon emissions. Using the method of factor decomposition, thepaper establishes the influencing factors decomposition model about China’smanufacturing industry carbon emission from the coefficient of carbon dioxide, energy structure, energy intensity, industrial structure and the scale of economicoutput. Based on the results of theoretical analysis, applying the environmentalKuznets curve (EKC) and the decoupling theory, the paper respectively makes ananalysis of the relationship between China’s manufacturing industry and carbonemissions. It concludes that relationship of China’s manufacturing industrydevelopment and carbon emissions shows the cubic curve “N” relationship, andremains weak decoupling state. Based on the conclusions of the panel data analysis ofChina’s manufacturing industries and carbon emissions, the scale of economic output, industry structure, industrial energy intensity, industrial energy consumption structure, the R&D intensity, the ratio of foreign investment and capital intensity have asignificant effect on China’s manufacturing carbon dioxide emissions, In particular, the R&D intensity, the ratio of foreign investment and capital intensity are conducive to the inhibition of the increase in the carbon emissions.Combining the theoretical and empirical analysis, the article puts forward aseries of measures to make the manufacturing low-carbon development in China. These measures include the adjustment of industrial structure, the optimization ofenergy consumption structure, the increase in R&D investment, the attraction offoreign investment.
