With the change of the strategy of China’s opening-up, our country shift focusfrom single export situation for both import and export, and pointed out that thecombination of the expansion of open and coordinated regional development. thisarticle based on the import and export, highlights the impact of cultural differencesand the transport distance of import and export trade by country of China’s30provinces. In view of the scholars study in the past only view the cultural andgeographic factors as a factor of explanatory variables, and almost trade between thecountries, they used mostly traditional quantitative analysis methods, this paperstarted from the level of trade relations of the provinces and countries, and study theimpact of cultural differences and the transport distance on spatial pattern of trade bycountry of China’s provinces.Firstly, this paper used the spatial statistical methods for visualized descriptionon the space distribution of import and export trade by country of the provinces, andused spatial exploratory data analysis methods, mainly selected the data of2001,2005,2009to describe spatial autocorrelation degree and the dynamic evolution oftrends on import and export trade by country of our country’s provinces, analized andconcluded that:the distribution of import and export amount by country of Chinaprovinces shows the ladder gap from the East to the West, the fourth step of thelargest import and export amount all lies in the developed eastern coastal areas, andthe first, second, three ladder having a relatively small import and export amount aremainly located in the Midwest, northeast where economy is relatively underdevelopedareas, and distribution on Import and Export amount of the United States, Japan,South Korea, Hong Kong, Germany in china’s provinces have great differences.Thespatial autocorrelation test shows:2001-2009,the import and export trade spacedistribution of China’s30provinces to the United States, Japan, South Korea,Germany have positive spatial correlation, and have negative spatial correlation to theHong Kong’s import and export trade, and its correlation degreen basically showsupward trend in the entire study period.Second, this paper started from the point of view of comparative advantage, usingthe budget line and the consumer indifference curve established a theoretical model toanalyze consumer choices of the consumers of the importing country which have the advantage of cultural differences and the transport distance,it explians that they havemore trade between provinces and country having the advantage of culturaldifferences and the transport distance, On this basis, the paper established a partialequilibrium theory model of non-tariff differences, the analysis found: in the case ofother conditions remain unchanged, the social net welfare losses are greater by theimprovement of cultural differences degree than the increases of transport distance,While the net loss of social welfare due to the cultural differences and the transportdistance increased at the same time is larger than the sum of the net social welfareloss when the rise of the cultural differences and the cost of transport distance single.Thereby it reduced the enthusiasm of a country’s trade, hindered the development ofbilateral trade.Again, on the basis of considering spatial factors, this paper uses the tradegravity model included spatial lag factor, and empirically studies the impact and itsdegree of cultural differences and the transport distance of import and export trade bycountry of China’s30provinces. the study found: the influence and significant degreeof spatial lag factors to export trade by country is less than the import trade, culturaldifferences have biggest restrictions to import and export trade by country of theprovinces, the influence of land transport distance to export trade by country ofChina’s provinces is far higher than the shipping distance and its effect raduallyincreases as time goes; trading partner GDP, the provinces inland waterway transportline length has a significant role in promoting to import and export trade by country ofChina’s provinces; the influence of cultural differences and the transport distance hasa little difference on export trade by country of China’s eastern, central and westregions,in the import trade by country, compared with the eastern region, the centralregion are more sensitive to the value distance and land transport distance, followedby the western region. Finally, on the basis of the previous text analysis, given the conclusions of thispaper, and proposed policy recommendations on how to narrow country(region)differences of import and export trade value by country of the provinces.
