Research On The Developing Relationship Of Chengdu-chongqing Economic Zone

With the continuous deepening of economic globalization and regional economicintegration, regional cooperation has become the main theme of the regional economicdevelopment.Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone is currently strengthening theconstruction of industrial clusters, development as well as the mutual relationship of thedevelopment between the two central cities largely determine the future development ofthe Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.Therefore, at this time of industrialagglomeration on economic growth and industrial agglomeration driven by regionaleconomic growth is so important on this basis.The two cities, Chengdu and Chongqing, not only are of the similar size andgeographically adjacent, but also share the economic hinterland and complementaryindustrial structure, so, it is typical of the dual-core-type spatial structure. It is becauseof this dual-core structure and many other factors such as history, government, market,and so on, that leads to inter-city competition for resources, vicious competition andunplanned development. Although the cooperation between Chengdu and Chongqinghave been gradually promoted, but it’s not easy to get in-depth cooperation. That is tosay, there is huge potential cooperation in space between the two cities having not beendeeply mined.
