A low carbon economy as a kind of low energy consumption, low pollution, lowemission economic pattern, its development must take the advanced technical meansto support, and the large scale application of advanced technology means will bepremised by the new knowledge field of expending, and new knowledge constantlyproduction, dissemination and application. Therefore, knowledge innovation plays animportant part in the development of low carbon economy, realizing the process oftransformation in the mode of economic development.Based on that the article puts the knowledge innovation into low carboneconomic research field, and try to build a low carbon economy knowledgeinnovation system in the basic framework of research.
