| In recent years, The success of "dragon" deep dive test and the Shenzhou docking with the Tiangong spacecraft, including the popularization of high-speed rail technology, the implementation of all these radical innovation projects showed that the radical innovation had entered into a stage of rapid development in our country. However, the high-speed rail accident occurred in Wenyong also exposed many problems in the management of radical innovation in China. Therefore, a systematic study of the theory and methods of radical innovation management based on local resources can help us sum up successful experience and solve problems, in particular, to improve the efficiency of radical innovation management and independent innovation ability.This article will summarize the successful experience and draw lessons from the failure lessons, in order to propose new measures and recommendations in radical innovation management research. By combining the existing related literature, this paper expounds the basic theory of technological innovation management, radical innovation management, local resources, as well as the method of situational analysis and evolutionary analysis. What’s more, it also analyzes the existing problems and the reason of success, and takes the status quo of radical innovation management based on local resources into consideration. The technological innovation on high-speed rail is the typical case in the text. Situational analysis method and evolutionary analysis method are used to analyze the technological innovation management on China’s high-speed rail. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to strengthen the radical innovation management based on local resources.The main conclusions of this paper are the bellows:Firstly, the research of radical innovation management based on local resources effectively extends the perspective of theoretical research.
