In this paper, the communications industry consulting firm’s competitive strategy is analyzed. Firstly, the communications industry consulting firm’s related concepts, type and scope of business are outlined. Then we take Jiangxi Design Company of China Communications Services for example, from the three aspects of the overall environment PEST analysis, Porter’s five forces operating environment analysis and evaluation matrix analysis, the communications industry consulting firm’s external environment are analyzed. Meanwhile, the internal situation is provided, internal condition evaluation matrix analysis and SWOT analyses are conducted. After that from the company’s comprehensive strength, the level of human resources, the core technology level and management level, control of the market, corporate credit and corporate culture seven aspects evaluation index system are built. Further AHP method is used to determine the weights of the index system. Afterwards competitive evaluation and analysis are carrying out to Jiangxi Design Company and five Consulting and designing institute of China Communications Services. Finally we proposed to some countermeasures of enhance the competitiveness of the telecommunications industry consulting firm. From the perspective of internal resources, it should be strengthen communication consulting company’s core technology, accelerate the construction of human resources and knowledge, and establish organization and management system of communications consulting firm, build unique corporate culture of the communications industry companies. From the perspective of outside resources, it should be introduce the excellent talents of communications consulting industry, build enterprise collaboration platform to seeking strategic alliances, differentiated services to customers, and actively extend the industrial chain.
