Study On The Logistics Development In Henan Province By Using Factor Analysis And Cluster Analysis

Logistics industry that develops rapidly plays an important role in the nationaleconomy and gets increasing concern of enterprise and the government. In recent years,with the economic development and the guidance of national policy, the logistics industryof Henan province which has the advantage of geographical position has made rapiddevelopment. When the development of Zhongyuan economic zone as national strategy,the construction of central plains economic zone is written in "12·5" developmentplanning, which offers the possibility and necessity for the logistics development inHenan provinceBased on the the study of domestic and international logistics development, andcombined with the characteristics of logistics development in Henan province, throughthe factor analysis and cluster analysis in the multivariate statistical analyses，this paperuses the building logistics development evaluation index system and ranks and classifiesthe development’s level of the logistics industry of eighteen city in Henan province.Combined with the actual development’s condition of the urban logistics industry, thispaper puts forward some suggestions in order to give some help with the development ofthe whole logistics industry in Henan province.The paper has five parts: the first part introduces the research background, studiesmeaning, the research methods, the novelty and the insufficiency. The second part mainlyintroduces the basic theory of logistics, factor analysis and cluster analysis. The thirdpart construct logistics development evaluation index system on the basis of thecharacteristics of logistics development in Henan province. Using factor analysis andcluster analysis, this part evaluates the development of the logistics development of Henan province based on construction of the index system. On the basis of conclusion ofstudy,the fourth part gives the appropriate recommendations for the logisticsdevelopment in Henan province, The fifth part puts forward the deficiencies of the paper,as well as the future logistics development prospects of Henan province.
