| As the further development of financial deregulation and financial internationalization. the international business of Chinese commercial banks become more and more important. In contrast with the foreign banks, the Chinese commercial banks are inefficiency and less competitive. It is necessary to reengineer the business process in order to improve the competitiveness of the Chinese commercial banks.In this paper A bank, as the representative of the Chinese commercial banks, will be the study case. According to analyzing the many problems existed in old international business process, the author propose diagnostic views and H.O.TFC(Head Office Trade and Finance Center) will be the preferred suggestion, which is suitable for present financial conditions of China. Through the systemic study and analysis, it is concluded that redesigning of BPR should focus on the customers’needs, IT operation system should be the breakthrough of BPR, quality management system and cost accounting mechanisms should be established in order to control the quality and costs, flexible performance evaluation mechanisms should also be helpful, risk alarm and inspection afterward mechanisms should be combined with the BPR of the IT systems.Through comparative analysis of longitudinal and transverse between Chinese banks and foreign banks, it can be verified that Chinese commercial banks,such as A bank, has achieved remarkable results in international business through BPR. But A bank is still inferior on quality control and business efficiency. Finally, it is recommended that, in further BPR of Chinese commercial banks, top-level design should be in combination with crossing river feeling the stone, technological BPR should be in combination with social BPR. the linkage between bank and enterprise should be scheduled in further BPR. |
