Land is the basis of human survival and development. It is also the source of social wealth. Land Ownership System is a set of interests in land legalization, the core of LOS is achieving the maximization of the social benefit of land output by allocating land resources, and the equitable distribution of land revenue in the whole social. At present, the land resources of our country is confronted with two pairs of principal contradiction, the use of the land resources is inefficient while we are lack of it extremely, lands for different purposes have revenue gaps and lead to the unfair distribution of interests. This paper reviews the Land Systems in China since from the Xia dynasty, making a simple introduction to the establishment, the characteristic, and the change of them, providing a valuable historical reference to solve the current land issues. The thesis also provides detailed information of the historical evolution and the plight of current collective ownership of rural land. With the comparative analysis of the reforms of collective ownership system of rural land, the privatization reform, the nationalization reform, and the self-improvement of collective ownership system, I have drew a conclusion that the nationalization reform is the best choice for current collective ownership system of rural land. And then I have proposed some specific policy recommendations for the nationalization reform. First of all, we should rebuild the land ownership structure, clearing the various rights and interests in the exploitation of the land resources as well as the corresponding obligations. To follow up, we must accelerate the establishment of democracy and legal system, and earnestly safeguard the legitimate interests of the rights and interests of the owner of the land resources.
