Study About The Path Of Sustainable Economic Development Of Zhongshan Torch Development Zone

Regional economic development is the hot issues universally concerned by thegovernment and the whole society. It is critical for a region’s sustainable development.Regional economic development has two characteristics, regional and stage. Theregion’s rapid does not mean developing the whole region’s economy in accordancewith uniform standards of sustainability. Local economy should develop step by stepaccording to the regional economic characteristics, stage of economic development,levels of economic development and other local conditions.Zhongshan Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, is the first batch ofstate-level high-tech industrial development zone, vigorously promoting the industrycluster development since establish. In this thesis, the object is to study the path ofeconomic develop in Zhongshan Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone. Thisthesis is summarizing the regional economy at different stages of economicdevelopment path of sustained growth and economic development path dependence,through the way from point to area.This thesis is studying how to keep regional economic sustainable development atthe stage of economic development during the process of historical development. Thisthesis points out a basic principle of regional economic development that itsdevelopment should be consistent with the regional characteristics. This thesis isfocusing on the process of historical development and regional differences. It also hasa view of the reality of economic needs of the high-tech development zone, improvesthe practice guidance of regional economic sustainable development theory.This thesis analyzing economic development path with comparative method,combining theoretical and empirical analysis methods, by the method of combinationwith dynamic and static. Firstly, it came from the related theories of regional economicdevelopment, introduced sustainable economic development in historical stages.Secondly, it analyzed the mechanism of action and process for regional economicdevelopment, based on the four aspects as following: the sustainable economic growth,economic development, regional balance and ecological environment quality. Thirdly,it summarized the key issues of regional sustainable development in Zhongshan TorchHi-tech Industrial Development Zone, by studying on the regional economic characteristics and the current economic development situation in this area. It alsoanalyzed the regional economic development stages in this area. Finally, it pointed outthe sustainable economy development path dependence of Zhongshan Torch Hi-techIndustrial Development Zone, according to study of related theory, based on regionaleconomic development characteristics, regional economic development stages, raisedfrom the following four aspects: supporting sustained economic growth, developingregion’s economic, balancing region’s development and protecting ecologicalenvironment.The main conclusions of this thesis are:(1) Regional economic sustainabledevelopment is an important subject about regional development and timesdevelopment. It must be fully integrated with regional characteristics of local economicdevelopment and the specific stage of economic development.(2) It is a gradualprocess that Zhongshan Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone makes industrialrestructuring and upgrading to the development type of intensive and innovative, toreduce regional development disparities and to ensure ecologically sustainabledevelopment; as the whole Zhongshan Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone hasentered into the post-industrial stage, but the industrial structure not rational enough.
