.R&D personnel as an important part of the modern high-tech enterprise, innovation ability and technical level of R&D personnel is an important basis for enterprise survival and development. How to motivate and manage R&D personnel, and according to the characteristics and demands of R&D personnel, to take practical motivate programs to motivate innovation capability of R&D personnel, and improve the technical level, to improve the company’s technical capabilities and enhance the company’s core competitiveness, M company must consider and resolve this important issues.Based on the actual situation of the Company M and according to the classical theory of motivation management and with applying theory to actual situation, this article is trying to find suitable solution to solve the R&D team’s motivation question. First of all, complete analysis of characteristics required from the behavior of the R&D personnel, R&D personnel demand characteristics according to motivation theory results in the current R&D personnel. Second,Analysed R&D management’s current situation of M company and pointed out the problems existing in the performance measurement system,wage system, company policies, training, career development and so on. Finally, some the principles of motivation and some measures of motivation have been given when doing motivation system design.All discussion and measures of motivation in this article will be given as a useful reference to M company to help it to improve it’s core competitiveness and it’s technical level.
