At present, the villages in Lanshan Disdrict of Rizhao, scattering disorderly, arenumerous in number with great density. Rural population in this area is larger than that of thecity and the rural construction land differs greatly from area to area. The lands layout in ruralresidential areas is unreasonable, covering large scale with much vacancy and imperfectinfrastructure. And there are phenomenon of the occupation of cultivated land in residentiallayout. So in order to promote the integration development of urban and rural areas in lanshandistrict, improve the rural construction land intensive utilization degree, and accelerate therural industrialization, urbanization, modernization progress, this thesis, adopting qualitativeanalysis as well as quantitative analysis combined with grey system method and trendpredicting method, intends to analyze the current situation and influencing factors in thestructure and layout of rural residential areas in Lanshan District, point out the priorities inimproving the residential areas in Lanshan District, then distinguish different functional areasaccording to the regional function and characteristics of the rural residential areas, and finallyput forward measures to optimize the layout of the rural residential areas. This article iscarried out according to the principles such as coordinating development of urban and ruralareas, fully respecting the wishes of farmers, respecting cluster scale efficiency,protectinglocal features and characterized architectures, harmonious development of rural and urbanareas, the smart expansion of the city as wall as the theory of building a new socialistcountryside.Research shows that by the end of2010the rural residential areas of land in LanshanDistric is6988hectares, the rural population is331552, of potential improvement is2608hectares.The LanShanTou street offices and AnDongWei street office has no improvementpotential.The rural residential areas land in BeiKuo Town is1067.7hectares, the improvementpotential is408.61. The rural residential areas land in HuShan Town is1518.3hectares, the improvement potential is765.74hectares.The rural residential areas in the Peak Town is1339.9hectares, the improvement potential is489.76hectares.The GaoXing Town is658.8hectares and284.93hectares. HouCun Town is1018.9hectares and348.66hectares,HuangDun town of the rural is972.2hectares and310.32hectares.According to the location and development status in the rural residential areas, thehierachical organization system level can be graded as the two following level structures:firstly, the Central village level; secondly, the Second primary village level. Based on thereality of the village situation, fully considering its functions and development foundationtogether with the farmer’s production and life style, combining its economic status andenvironment requirement, the author has defined four adjustment models as the following: thevillage retains development model; shrinkage and sporadic residential model; the slim model;and Cluster development, construction of new rural communities model.
