Study On Sustainable Utilization Of Marine Fishery Resources In Shandong Province

Shandong Province is a major Marine fishery province, has a wealth of Marine fisheryresources and huge development potential. In April2009, CPC Secretary General Hu Jintaoinspected Shandong. He put forward the strategic requirements about creating Shandongpeninsula blue economic zone. Since China’s reform and opening up, the using scale ofShandong Marine fisheries has expanded unceasingly, and the skill levels has improvedconstantly. The fishing intensity is keeping a high level. Consequently the fishery resources areshowing a declining trend. Since the1980s, it has been difficult for China’s main coastal fisheries.Aquatic productivity has declined severely. The ecological environment is worsening. The severedesertification has endangered the sustainable development of fisheries and Marine ecologicalsecurity. All of these caused great influences on our country’s Marine fishery economy and thefishermen’s production and living of the masses. Scientifically developing and utilizing Marinefishery resources and blossoming Marine fishery economy plays an important role instrengthening the foundation of Marine fisheries and promoting the comprehensive developmentof agriculture and rural economy. But at the present stage, Marine fishery resources in Shandongprovince are encountering serious problems. In the face of increasingly exhausted Marine fisheryresources and serious pollution of the Marine environment, utilization and protection of Marinefishery resources in Shandong province are of vital importance to fishermen’s livelihoods,ecological civilization construction, and harmonious society.In the article, the Basic ideas and research direction of Marine fishery resourcesmanagement is to realize the sustainable utilization of Marine fishery resources. The article isbased on the reality of Marine fishery resources in Shandong province, Then it use publicresources features and external economic theory to analyze the cause of Marine fisher resourcesoverexploitation in Shandong province. Furthermore, the present Marine fishery resourcesmanagement system of Shandong province is researched and at end some countermeasures ofsustainable utilization of Marine fishery resources in Shandong province is discussed.At the beginning, this article states the background, reason and significance of the subjectresearch. Then it defines the research scope by making analytical investigation of related concepts and theories.
