Benchmarking as an advanced management methods, not only to provide enterprises with a viable, credible goals, as well as the pursuit of continuous improvement ideas and the discovery of new targets as well as to seek a means of how to achieve this goaland tools, and operability. Through comparative analysis of some aspect of the ability of enterprise, you can find out the deficiencies of the enterprises in this regard and be corrected, which is more conducive to business and effectively improve the overall competitive strength.Central enterprises to implement the standard management for the background in the petroleum enterprise as the research object, using qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis methods, in terms of profitability, business management capabilities, marketing capacity and development prospects, in petroleum enterprises conduct comprehensive on benchmarking, in order for the enterprise to provide an effective method to improve operating results.This paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter on the basis of the literature review of the benchmarking at home and abroad, the research content and research methods. The second chapter analyzes the benchmarking theory, including the concept of the standard management, type of the benchmarking implementation steps and role. The third chapter is the focus of this article, the first analysis of the oil companies, the initial stages of the benchmarking, as well as setting the standard system, followed in terms of profitability, international management capacity, soft power, and sustainable development prospects, using appropriate indicators system, and the big oil companies at home and abroad on the benchmarking. Based on Chapter four based on benchmarking analysis, and proposed the corresponding benchmarking analysis,it is found that the scale and sustainable development ability is strength, but profitability, soft power and international management capability is weak The fourth chapter based on the benchmarking analysis, is pointed that petroleum enterprises must take measures to enhance operating permormance from the respects of cost control, technical innovation, and international management system.This value lies from the financial and non-financial indicators point to establish a combination of both benchmarking indicator system, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods were analyzed to help the long-term goals and short-term corporate goals balance.
