The Whole Idea And Suggestions That Financing Support Should Be Afforded In The Development Of Zhoushan Port And Shipping Finance

After the introduction of the development and construction planning for ZhoushanArchipelago by the State Council in January,2013, shipping logistics has become thehighlight in the construction of New Zhoushan District. It has been clearly stated in theplanning that Zhoushan government should not only accelerate the construction of aninternational logistics hub, a trading center for transit storage and processing ofcommodities, but improve port and shipping logistics services and supporting capabilitiesof strategic goods, expand the competitive industries like port and shipping logistics andship manufacturing as well. However, as an emerging industry, port and shipping logisticspossesses such characteristics as capital and technology-intensive and industry widecoverage that the development of which requires the support of a huge, perfect financialsystem. At present, China port and shipping financial development is in its infancy, socompared with the world-renowned Port’s financial system there are still manyimperfections in Zhoushan port and shipping logistics financial system. Thus, in thedevelopment of Zhoushan port and shipping logistics, how to improve the port andshipping economic and financial services system, and build supporting financial support,has great significance.Based on Zhejiang Zhoushan District Development Planning, Construction andDevelopment of International Logistics Planning for Zhejiang Zhoushan Archipelago,Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Integration and related national financial policy, by makingcomparisons with related cases from the port and shipping finance development of famousports, comparatively analyzing the development process of Zhoushan port and shippingand methods of financing, the paper pointed out the problems in financial development ofport and shipping in the respective area. And then based on the above study the paperexplored innovative ways and policy breaking point for Zhoushan port and shippingfinance, finally summarized the whole idea and suggestions that financing support shouldbe afforded in the development of Zhoushan port and shipping finance.
