The issue of regional economic differences is the core problem in all of theregional economy, also be the major problem in the world today must face. Congressis inevitable over the gap of regional economic development to hamper economicmarketization process, hinder the coordinated development of regional economy.Since the reform and opening up, especially in recent ten years, rapid economicdevelopment of Shandong Province, enhanced comprehensive strength, economicgross ranks countrywide front row, although regional economic development hasmade some achievements, but because of various reasons, there is a big difference inthe economic development in western regions, and further widening trend, whichgradually restricts the economic and social development in Shandong provinceobstacles. In the background, Shandong province were analyzed, in order to seek theeffective measures to promote regional cooperation and coordinated development, notonly has the important theory significance, but also for promoting sound and rapiddevelopment of economy in Shandong Province, Shandong by the economic bigprovince to the transformation of economic strong province, has the importantpractical significance.Based on the review of a large number of regional economy especially inShandong area the achievements of economic research, access to a large number ofstatistical data, the data of statistical yearbook of Shandong Province in recent yearsbased on the difference of thing ministry area, Shandong province was analyzed, andanalyzes the deep causes of regional economic difference of Shandong Province, andtargeted put forward the Countermeasures of coordinated development of regionaleconomy.This paper consists of introduction and text two parts. The introduction partintroduces the research purpose and significance, research situation and researchmethods and innovative points. The body is divided into four parts, the first part is thebasic theory of regional economy； the second part introduces the present situation ofregional economy in Shandong Province, including Shandong regional economicdevelopment achievements and current development problems；third part of the mainanalysis of reasons of Shandong province regional economic difference, proposedshould adhere to the principles of the Shandong province to promote the coordinateddevelopment of regional economy； the fourth part is the core of this thesis, puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the coordinated developmentof regional economy in Shandong province.
