Studies On Present Condition Of Shandong Vegetable Export Trade Development And Countermeasures

Shandong province is a traditional area of vegetable producing. Since 1991, the area, yield and production value of vegetable of Shandong were highest in China. In 2003, the planting area for vegetable in Shandong amounted to 2,496,600 hectares, the total yield was 106,730,000 ton and the whole production value was 92.5 hundred millions dollars, and the total export sum was 7.98 hundred million dollars.The vegetable industry had been worthy the name of the most important industry in the rural economics of Shandong province. The fleet development of vegetable export of our province were mainly in: the area, yield and production value of vegetable of Shandong were steady rise all along. The development of establishment vegetable was fast, and now the productions and technologies system which were associated with sunlight greenhouse, arching plastic canopy and other different forms and market system of establishment vegetable had been established primarily. These improved the periodic production of vegetable, poised the level of accommodation, reduced the seasonal difference of vegetable price and stabilized the income of peasant. The yield and production value of export vegetable of Shandong increased steadily; four export vegetable producing and processing area had been formed. Since the"nine-five"project, the vegetable market circulating system of Shandong had been relatively perfect.
