Commercial Banks Social Responsibility Evaluation Index System Analysis

The social responsibility of commercial banks has received unprecedented attention due to the European debt crisis and occupied Wall Street campaign. China is facing profound changes in the economic and social fields in the new historical period. Ban-king should implement the scientific concept of development, structure adjustment, pr-omote transformation, care livelihood and develop themselves. With a higher sense of social responsibility and mission, commercial banks should make full use of financial leverage to promote economic development and social progress.This paper is based on the microscopic field of commercial banks. Combining with the theory of corporate social responsibility, the stakeholders theory, and the18th report of "sustainable development" guiding ideology to focus on the study of comme-rcial banks’ social responsibility evaluation system which is based on sustainable deve-lopment. The stakeholders can be divided into shareholders, employees, customers, co-untries, communities and environment. The work is to select the appropriate evaluation index, use AHP to give weight index and combined with the case of China Construc-tion Bank and China Minsheng Banking to discuss the social responsibility evaluation system. At last, giving some suggestions on how to improve the social responsibility of the commercial banks.
