Study On Evolution Mechanism Of The Automotive Components Supply Network

According to data from The International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers announced that China’s automobile industry has been in a rapid growth phase of rapid development, ranking first automobile manufacturing countries in Asia. In the auto industry, the parts industry occupies an important position. And it is the dominant force to promote the automobile industry forward. Meanwhile, the core components supply industry is the network composed of auto parts suppliers.A study on Auto parts supply network is presented in this paper.It is mainly analyzes the production, development and evolution of the automotive parts supply network.First, the developing status of the automotive parts supply industry is sorted out in the paper by analyzing the basic status of automotive components supply industry, the characteristics of numbers, the regional distribution and industry distribution of parts suppliers.Then, complexities of automotive parts supply network characteristics are analyzed, providing the basis for using complex network theory to explain the evolution problems. The research scope of auto parts supply network is defined, and then characteristics of parts supply network are presented from the perspective of complexity theory. The five kinds of structures of supply network have been proposed, which are supply with single-stage and single-source, single-stage and multi-source, multi-stage and single-source, multi-stage and multi-source and network.Again, the double helix model is adopted to analysis the drivers of evolution of the automobile industry. And three-stage evolutions of the automotive parts supply networks have been proposed. From the theory of biological evolution, two core mechanisms in the evolution of auto parts supply network are proposed: market selection mechanisms and adaptive learning mechanisms. By analyzing the emergence and development of supply network of Ford, Toyota and Chain’s automotive parts, further policy recommendations are proposed for building conducive to the healthy development of the automotive parts industry social environmentFinally, the supply network evolution model is established, combined with auto parts supply network evolution three-stage process, on the basic of evolution of complex network model. The topology of evolution network and the characteristic parameters which are degree distribution, the average path length and clustering coefficient are analyzing by making the numerical simulation through Matlab software.
