The Study On International Competitiveness Of Agricultural Products In Shandong Province

With the continuous development of economic globalization, and the improvementof the degree of agricultural products’ opening-up, agricultural products ininternational market competition becoming increasingly fierce. China has involved inthe wave of world economy, like other countries, agriculture internationalization hasbecome the only way for china agriculture to participate in world competition.Shandong province is a major agricultural province in china, with good naturalenvironment, strategic location, large acreage of land, mild climate, developed watersystem, and adequate light. It is suitable for two crops a year of crop production.Shandong province has a good foundation for the development of agriculture and therelative maturity of the international export market environment, the export ofagricultural products has been TOP1for14consecutive years in china, so Shandongprovince has absolutely important status in china.however, with the furtherglobalization of agriculture, international trade environment is becoming increasinglytense, agricultural structure escalating, agricultural consumption structure changing,trade competition and trade friction growing, the export of agricultural products in theprovince is affected. Careful study will show that the international competitiveness ofagricultural products in Shandong province still has many problems: shortage of waterresources, quality and safety issues, the export commodity structure and marketstructure is irrational, low-tech agricultural exports, low added value and so on. Howto maintain a competitive advantage in the fierce international competition andimprove the international competitiveness of agricultural products, research of thispaper is of great significance.In this paper, based on the theoretical basis of the international competitiveness, inthe analysis of the status of international competitiveness of agricultural products inShandong province basis, through data analysis, comparative analysis of theinternational competitive strength of agricultural products in Shandong province, andin-depth and detailed analysis of the factors affecting the international competitivestrength, finally, make policy recommendations to enhance the internationalcompetitiveness of agricultural products in the province.
