P Company is a small-medium scale real estate enterprise,developing residential andcommercial housing projects for small CityZ. facing increasingly competitive real estatemarket, large-scale enterpriseadaptedadvantagesof standardized management andlarge-scale purchases todecreasecost,but P company, with few experience anddisorderedinternalmanagement,haspowerless cost control. So it has trouble in gettingeconomicefficiencyat a competitivemarketalthough having local government support. Inthis paper, through in-depth investigation, a diagnosis was conducted on Cost Managementof the PCompanyusing advanced cost management theory and widely used in large realestate company.Agreatcostmanagement ideas gapwas found between P Company withmodern successful one. After a series of diagnostics on regulations management,pre-planning and design, bidding, contract management, construction process, cost controlduring the project,completion settlement and cost assessment, some common issues weresummed up about small and medium real estate companies at early development stage suchas the Pand recommendations for improvement were made.There are some helps For Pcompanies to improve cost management and to establish a sound system of costmanagement. Because of the problems of P has a representative in the domestic small andmedium enterprises in real estate company, the proposals in this article also apply to othersimilar difficulties for small and medium real estate companies.
