Urbanization: The Analysis On Interaction Between Industrial Structure And Industrial Agglomeration

The overall level of urbanization in China is low, the main constraints to achieve thegoal of urbanization is the core industries, because it is easy to achieve the concentration ofpopulation in the process of urbanization, but it is difficult for industrial agglomeration tosupport the concentration of population. The industrial agglomeration is very obvious andpopular in the eastern parts of China, it becomes the great power of the urban development,and it promotes the process of urbanization. Industrial agglomeration is closely related toindustrial structure adjustment, it is so important for us to learn the interaction betweenthem in the process of urbanization, not only because it can extent the theory of industryand urbanization, but also government departments can formulate countermeasure forChina’s urbanization development. At present, China has entered a period of rapidurbanization, it is becoming increasingly urgent to research this issue with the rapidadjustment of industrial structure and urbanization development.First starting from the theoretical analysis in China and abroad, this article defines theconnotation and classification of urbanization; stresses the interaction between industrialstructure adjustment and industrial agglomeration in the process of urbanization, anddefines regional competitive industries according to three industries in the industrialstructure, economic development conditions and regional advantages so as to speed up thedevelopment of industrial agglomeration and play the radiation effects of the industrialagglomeration to promote the development of urbanization; discusses the relationshipbetween industrial structure adjustment and industrial agglomeration of three majormetropolitan area in the process of urbanization and summarizes the empirical method; Onthis basis, this article concludes the allocation of industrial construction and industrialagglomeration in Hefei Economic Circle according to the development of Hefei.On the basis of the overview of urbanization, industrial structure and industrialagglomeration theory, this article points out the interaction between industrial structureadjustment and industrial agglomeration in the process of urbanization by introducing thedevelopment and experience of foreign developed cities. Consequences follow from thissome of which are that metropolitan will be more and more significant in the process ofurbanization. Hefei, the capital of Anhui province, has never been given the rapiddevelopment, the level of urbanization is far below the provincial capital of Jiangsu andZhejiang. As a result, the governments of Hefei decide to divide Chaohu into four parts andmerged the parts into surrounding cities. And this important decision can expand the size ofHefei’s area, then the metropolitan of Hefei is emerging based on Wuhan Economic Circleand Nanjing Economic Circle. It will have an impressive impact on the development ofHefei Economic Circle.
