The word "strategy" is a military term, for enterprise management only after60years of the last century. Map out a strategy; gain a decisive victory a thousand miles away--a good plan, the outcome of the final war strategy plays a key role in. In an increasingly competitive today, the process of economic globalization and the rapid development of technology innovation, so that enterprises in the operation of a little accident, may cause the crowning calamity. How in the fierce market competition, the formulation and implementation of enterprise development strategy properly, already became the enterprise to determine the key to success.The main business of tungsten of XTC, tungsten smelting company, is the world’s largest, has more than10subsidiaries under the group, the industry mainly for the tungsten products production and processing, rare earth products production and processing, new energy materials R&D and production and real estate development business. Tungsten is used as important nonrenewable strategic resources; its mining, processing and export are subject to state control. Current situation of tungsten industry: one is engaged in the production of tungsten in the domestic processing more than500enterprises, uneven production scale, technology level, product quality, management ability, at the same time, repeat construction phenomenon is very serious, causing some tungsten products overcapacity. In some have tungsten mine enterprises, using their own advantages in resources, production line repeated construction of tungsten products, capacity expansion production profits by using the resource advantage to grab, extrusion of tungsten smelting enterprises without the mine, has seriously disrupted the market, the domestic competition. On the other hand, in some foreign downstream manufacturers in South Korea and Asian countries to invest, looking for Chinese outside sources. In addition, there are some foreign enterprises through technical improvements, explore other materials used as replacement of tungsten. In the more adverse external environment, formulate appropriate development strategy is very important for the company.This paper uses the theory and methods of strategy management, firstly analyzes the macro and micro environment of industry of XTC Company, especially on the tungsten industry China inside and outside the industry environment analysis, understands the XTC Company’s industry environment. The second is to face using the SWOT analysis method analyses of the company have advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats, provide theoretical basis for the next step to adopt what strategy. Finally is the strategy, diversification strategy and mergers and acquisitions strategy analysis technology is leading the industry currently used, and combining the current situation of the company management and the future development direction was put forward for the current and future development strategy, growth strategy, talent strategy and innovation four strategy, and strive to find a sustainable development to adapt to the internal and external department of environment, business development strategy for XTC company.Strategic imaging is proposed in this paper, the XTC’s future sustainable development has certain guiding significance and reference value.
