Lushan National Park is located in Jiujiang city in Jiangxi province and it is China’s firstWorld Heritage cultural landscape. Along with the development of social economy, heritagetourism has become an inevitable trend of social development, however, tourism developmentwould result in many environmental and resource problems. The key to resolve the contradictionbetween tourism development and heritage protection is to take a sustainable path, which hasbound to be the only choice of Mount Lushan and other heritage sites. By integrating theresources while strengthen equitable planning, exploiting the potential resources while enhanceprotection, the world heritage value of Mount Lushan can be demonstrated and in the meantimethe relationship between exploitation and utilization of the resources and protection ofenvironment be clarified. In order to find out a reasonable way to protect the heritage resourcesfrom the perspective of cultural landscape so as to seek for the sustainable development ofMount Lushan, this thesis will analyze from the following aspects:Firstly, starting from a comprehensive geographical survey of Lushan, a comprehensiveunderstanding of this mountain was established through Mount Lushan’s human and physicalgeographical conditions, traffic location, geological and geomorphology profiles and culturallandscapes respectively. It is also fully showed the preservation of Mount Lushan heritageresources by categorizing the resources in accordance with the national standards.Secondly, the thesis compared Mount Lushan with the other three World Heritage culturallandscapes in China to further analyze the current development of our country’s culturallandscape heritage. Then it was compared with the other two mountain heritage sites nearLushan to discover the similarities and differences hence serve as a reference for thecomprehensive development of Mount Lushan.Thirdly, the tourism economy of Mount Lushan was further analyzed by investigating thepresent situation of its tourism development. It is utilized the regression analysis method andcluster analysis method of metrology to perform quantitative analysis for the "dual" influence inLushan tourism development, the results of which were based to predict future development ofMount Lushan.Finally, like the rest of the World Heritage sites, Mount Lushan is faced with the problem of balancing the relationship between protection and development. In view of the currentdevelopment, it is put forward the problems in the process of development and the correspondentcountermeasure study, hoping that this paper can be of reference value for the futuredevelopment of Mount Lushan.
