Mount Emei World Heritage Eco-tourism Development Study

The world heritage is defined as the material or nonmaterial heritages, which have been enlisted in the World Heritage List by the World Heritage Committee of the UNESCO and are reputed as universal possession with extremely profound value that represents diversified. World heritage tourism is very prevalent in many countries now. However, with the fast development of world heritage tourism, some burdens to the environmental protection and ecological system have been created. The paper attempts to explore and study eco-tourism exploitation of world heritage sites by taking Mt Emei as the study object .In addition to the preface and conclusion, this paper expatiates from another three parts as the main contents.First part introduces the special value of the world heritage resources,the characteristic of the eco-tourism and the difference of eco—tourism and popular tourism.Part two introduces the actuality of tourism development of world heritage sites and analyzes the condition of tourism development,the background and conditions of eco-tourism exploitation of Mt Emei. Based on these, the paper puts forward the necessity and important meaning of eco-tourism exploitation of Mt Emei world heritage sites.The focus of this paper falls on the part three which elaborates the guidelines,goals and principles of ecological tourism development of heritage of Mt Emei. The new image and the new type of eco- tourism products of Mt Emei are schemed. The paper points out that the ecological-capacity control,environment monitor and community participation must be carried through. Finally, the paper emphasizes that the green-management and manpower resources management must be pushed in eco-tourism exploitation.
